Hungerboost: Additional Details
Anorexia is a clinical symptom of ruminal indigestion associated with ruminal atony (cessation of normal rhythmic contractions for more than 2 minutEs). Ruminal stasis leads to low feed intake, reduced fecal output and anemia due to destruction of ruminal microflora. Complete atony leads to collapse of ruminal function (ruminal collapse, shrunken collapsed rumen) resulting INTO severe anorexia and toxAemia.
Ruminal impaction is dense packing of rumen with indigestible roughage, accompanied by Ruminal hypomotility caused by dietary error results into slight increase in ruminal acidity or alkalinity.
- Loss of appetite, decreased food consumption.
- Slow or week ruminal movements, rumen may be doughy.
- Diminished milk yield.
- Loss of weight.
- Weakness and dehydration.
- Symptom specific of particular disease are also noticed.
- Anorexic Anaemia.

Dr Subodh Goel –
Introduction of HF bloodline had its advantages and disadvantages in the rural Indian context. The nutritional requirements of this breed is never met which has its all round negative effect on the cattle and the owner. Hunger boost is very economical and near to perfect solution for prepartum and postpartum requirements of the animal to maintain it’s optimum health and production.
